MAMAMOO officially debuted in 2014 upon releasing their first single, "Mr. Ambiguous." In celebration of their seventh anniversary, they are making a comeback this year.

Earlier last week, the four-member K-Pop group announced their plans for their return. They will release their 11th mini-album, WAW (Where Are We) to mark their achievement.

AllKpop reported that they released the first of the teaser materials on Thursday midnight, KST. It includes two photos of Solar, featuring the "day and night" concept of the track collection.

The publication described the K-Pop idol as stunning as she "radiates beauty" and "alluring charms" in her set. It is, also, likely that the individual photos of the rest of the members will arrive in the next few days.

There are no specific details yet as to what WAW entails. But, the previous announcement revealed that MAMAMOO will drop their mini-album on June 2 at 6 p.m., KST.

The track collection will, also, serve as their return since last year. It will be a follow-up to their 2020 extended play record, Travel, according to Bandwagon Asia.

The mini-album is just one of their three-part comeback next month. Reports noted that they will lead two more big events and releases in the next few weeks following WAW's release.

Hello Kpop noted that these will be in the form of a concert and a documentary. As for the details and release dates, MAMAMOO, alongside their label, has yet to break their silence.

Nevertheless, the teaser materials are seemingly building up all the hype toward their comeback. Netizens have since expressed their excitement and support on various social media channels in light of all the photo sets and concept images.

The same outlet, later on, claimed that the WAW series project will be a platform to the members of MAMAMOO in conveying their feelings on various experiences. They will showcase their respective journeys in the last seven years.

Alongside looking back, the K-Pop idols will, also, "explore their current thoughts about the present, and hopes regarding the future." It, then, makes total sense why the comeback series carries the name, "Where Are We."

MAMAMOO's comeback follows their virtual concert earlier this month. Moreover, it will be a fresh return for member Wheein after focusing on her solo debut in April. She dropped a mini-album titled, Redd. It houses a total of six tracks, which all immediately attracted attention upon the release.
