9-1-1 season 4 finale is going to be intense as some of the characters are in grave danger. Eddie (Ryan Guzman) and Bobby (Peter Krause) were, particularly, the major concern here. Their life is on the line and it's yet to be seen whether or not they're going to make it on the other side.
9-1-1 season 4 finale is titled "Survivors," which suggests that something big is about to happen and could be devastating to many. For Eddie, he was left in a bad shape in the penultimate episode. He's lying on the ground, bleeding out, and there' no indication he'll get better in time.
The promo showed the character may not make it out alive, and this is going to impact the entire department in a huge way. The clip also featured a scene with Buck (Oliver Stark) telling Eddie's son, Christopher (Gavin McHugh), that his father is "not coming home tonight."
Eddie's unexpected bullet encounter in the penultimate is going to be one of the major storylines as the current season wraps up. The aftermath of the shooting sees everyone else tracking down the sniper who's targeting the members of the Los Angeles Fire department.
Meanwhile, Bobby's life is also on the line in 9-1-1 season 4 finale. Based on the promo, he was trapped in a blazing building and his wife, Athena (Angela Bassett), is crying out for help. She is worried because her husband may die if they don't quickly get him out of the apartment.
Athena is going to do everything just to rescue her husband, but she also needs the help of other firefighters in the process. For now, it remains unknown what the future holds for Bobby, though there are no confirmed reports that Krause is leaving the series.
While Bobby is in a life-or-death situation, Krause said that it was Basset who does all the lifting in 9-1-1 season 4 finale. In an interview with TVLine, the actor said that series creator Tim Minear "wrote something for Angela which required her to really dig deep."
Krause added that his co-star has a tough assignment in the final moments of the fourth installment, but she handled it "with her usual strength and grace." The actor praised Bassett since she worked hard for the finale episode and that she "handled it really well."
9-1-1 season 4 finale airs on Monday, May 24, on Fox.
