Thomas Markle is at it again. The senior Markle broke his silence over the arrival of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's daughter Lilibet Diana "Lili" Mountbatten-Windsor.

In an interview with "60 Minutes Australia" that aired Sunday, Thomas said he could have been thrilled if he knew of his new granddaughter's birth. "I'm not a tearful type...but I'm certainly hurt by a lot of it," he said after not receiving a word from his daughter.

The grandfather said there was a good chance he might never see his grandchildren. He said the Duke and Duchess of Sussex haven't reached out to him after the birth of their second child. He said he hadn't spoken to his daughter since two days before her marriage to Harry in 2018.

He just heard the news about Lili on the radio. According to Us Weekly, Meghan and her father have endured an estrangement since he was caught staging paparazzi photos days before the royal wedding.

A source told the publication Markle was "upset and disturbed."

Three years have passed. Thomas Markle was hopeful he would reconnect with Meghan - especially now they are living in California.

"If I had done something terribly wrong that'd be fine. But I haven't," the former lighting director said. He wants answers after Markle allegedly ghosted him, which - he asserted from Meghan - Harry had done to his own father Prince Charles.

Thomas criticized Meghan and Harry's connection with Oprah Winfrey after the release of their interview in March, Yahoo Entertainment reported. He said Winfrey was "exploiting the couple" for her own benefit.

"I think she's using them to build her network and her new shows," he said. He said Winfrey was taking advantage of "a very weakened man" - trying to make him say things that he shouldn't on national TV.

"It seems to me that she's pushing it to get more and more out of it, and Apple stock is going up," he stressed. Winfrey's new TV series "The Me You Can't See" is on Apple.

He was convinced the show was a "setup" and Winfrey might have patted herself on the back for making a lot of money from it. Though the TV personality might have given Meghan and Harry money, Thomas assured them it would never compensate for what they're doing.

Markle said he tried to reach Winfrey to tell his side of the story.
