As fans are now waiting for the release of "Demon Slayer" Season 2, the franchise drops a new poster to hype up the series more. All eyes are now on Tanjiro's return to see if it can live up to the success of the mega-successful "Demon Slayer: Mugen Train'' and its first season.

According to Comicbook, the new poster was released at the event called "Kimestu TV, New Information Announcement Special" in Japan. It showed a short preview of the new season, though it did not feature any new footage from the series.

Instead, it dropped a new poster at the end of the clip - focusing on Tanjiro and other major characters fans are about to see. The image also gave a complete look at Nezuko, Inosuk and Zenitsu.

In addition, it also introduced the new characters coming in "Demon Slayer" Season 2. They would be the new additions that would take the stage as the Entertainment District arc begins.

"Kimestu TV, New Information Announcement Special" was held Tuesday to give more information about the continuation of Tanjiro's journey, Forbes noted. It featured some of the anime's voice actors, like Natsuki Hanae and Katsuyuki Konishi.

The event was seen on Aniplex's YouTube channel. As many expected that it would announce the second season's release, it remained mum when fans would see Tanjiro back on the small screen.

Meanwhile, Ufotable earlier unveiled a new trailer for "Demon Slayer" Season 2, Polygon reported. Although it was light on details, it introduced a new character that would play a significant role in the Entertainment District arc.

The clip featured short scenes of some of the most familiar characters and showed Tengen Uzui. It gave everyone a glimpse of his character design - a glamorous Sound Hashira.

Tengen would be a key part of the new season, just like how Flame Hashira had a significant role in "Mugen Train." Anyhow, fans hope he will fare better.

There are high expectations surrounding the anime series' return. It is expected to break and make records when it finally comes to air.

The franchise has now reached a new height of fame, from manga to anime to movie. It has generated incredible interest, even on streaming services.

Anyhow, Ufotable is yet to announce when "Demon Slayer" Season 2 will be released but it has said it would hit the small screen this year.
