There are talks about the possible movie adaptation of the hit TV series "Schitt's Creek" after its six-season successful run. So as fans look forward to seeing the Rose family on the big screen, here is the pile of evidence that a movie is about to come.
The CBC series started airing in 2015 and received its season finale in 2020. After five years on the air, "Schitt's Creek" rose to international prominence and even became critical.
However, though it has now officially wrapped up, it does not mean the story of the Rose family has come to an end, too. According to Us Weekly, there is a big hope for an upcoming movie that will show the return of Johnny (Eugene Levy), Moira (Catherine O'Hara), David (Dan Levy) and Alexis (Annie Murphy).
Eugene said, via Us, the idea of working with the whole cast again remains lingering in their minds. Dan then told in an interview with E! that he is thinking of making a possible movie, as long as it would be handled appropriately.
Sarah Levy, in addition, added her hopes for the show's revival during the Screen Actors Guild Awards pre-show interview. She revealed she kept on hearing about the possible film adaptation and she would be up for it if ever it would be made.
She told Us she had all the hopes in the world that there would be a "Schitt's Creek" movie. In fact, Sarah is willing to drop the project she is doing and asking her co-stars to do the same to work again together.
She confessed their love for each other and shared the incredible experience they had together for the past six years, seeing how the series successfully took off. As she felt that they were all tied together, they would be willing to do the movie in a heartbeat.
Anyhow, Dan chose not to give anything away about the possible film. Despite the show's ending, the actor remains to have a hectic schedule.
However, Dan does not rule out the making of the movie. He hopes it will eventually happen, revealing he, too, loves everyone who he has worked with in the show.
He told Town & Country they all had a great time and if there were some right ideas, he would love to explore a "Schitt's Creek" movie. Sadly, he did not have that bright idea yet.
A year after the show ended, he is still looking for the best concept to make a movie and he is not rushing at all. He wants to give people a little time to miss them, so he takes his time and sees what will happen in the next couple of years.
Anyhow, Dan's fingers remain cross for the possible "Schitt's Creek" movie.
