Fans are still celebrating the release of "Bleach" special one-shot on Weekly Shone Jump this week as part of the franchise's 20th anniversary. However, it looks like the manga creator, Tite Kubo, still has a lot of surprises in store for his story's followers.

According to Comicbook, "Bleach" still has a few more announcements to make soon. WSJ revealed the good news after posting more information about the series this week.

Fans saw that there would be an event happening on Monday, Aug. 23. So, what will this event be all about?

As expected, the fandom has started guessing what will be the next big thing about the series. Aside from the newly-dropped one-shot, there will also be a new anime revival coming for Ichigo, though details about it remain under lock and key.

CBR noted the special one-shot seemed to set up a new adventure for Ichigo and company. The new chapter took place 10 years after the time skip, following the end of the original Bleach manga.

Here, Ichigo and Orihime were seen, along with their child, Kazui. The 74-page chapter also featured other surviving characters, like Ruki, Renji, and their kid, Ichika.

After introducing the new and original characters, the story focused on Ichigo and Renji's travel to the world of the living. Here, they performed a ceremony to honor the dead Soul Reaper captains.

However, things went a downward spiral when powerful Hollows and Szayelaporro Granz attacked them. It also made some shocking revelations about the nature of the Soul Reaper's power and its connection to the Hell realm.

From here, Ichigo and the rest of the Soul Reapers faced a new problem. Though either Kubo or WSJ says something about this latest conflict, it seems to suggest a new story arc or manga series is about to come.

In addition, there is also news that the Thousand-Year Blood War arc will be adapted into anime, though there is no known other information about it either. Others, however, believe the WSJ update may have something to do with the upcoming Bleach EX Exhibition.

The series will hold a special event in the fall, when more news from the franchise may be revealed. Siliconera reported the exhibition would be held in Shibuya, Tokyo, from Dec. 18 to Jan. 16, 2022.

Tickets will be out on Oct. 21, following a lottery system. This event will still be part of Bleach's 20th anniversary, featuring a wide array of key arts from the series-a first of its kind from the franchise.
