Fans are now waiting for the release of "Demon Slayer" Season 2 this fall, though its exact release date remains unknown. However, it looks like the long wait will be over after the franchise teases a big announcement happening next week.

Tanjiro, Nezuko, Inosuke and Zenitsu will once again conquer the small screens in "Demon Slayer" Season 2. This time, they will be dealing with the aftermath of their train adventure in the mega-successful movie "Demon Slayer: Mugen Train."

Twitter user Anime TV Japan announced the upcoming update about the much-awaited anime series. As expected, fans are all waiting for the official announcement of its release date to know when Tanjiro and Nezuko will continue their journey to avenge the death of their family.

After one of the strongest demons killed the Flame Hashira Rengoku, Tanjiro and his friends are now finding their way to meet his family, Comicbook noted. Here, they will learn the secrets behind the fire breathing technique, which the protagonist uses against the Spider Clain.

Now that Rengoku is gone, the Demon Slayer Corps' young members are about to meet another Hashira whose expertise lies around sound. By the looks of it, they will be dealing with Tengen Uzui the Sound Hashira this time.

Meanwhile, it was earlier announced that "Mugen Train" is about to make its TV premiere in Japan this coming Sept. 25. According to Express, many believe the "Demon Slayer" Season 2 release date would be revealed here.

In fact, Twitter user DemonSlayerSC tweeted in July that more information about the second season would be out on the said date. "A release date may be announced," it even teased.

Will the announcement fans have been waiting for finally happen? It is widely believed that the first episode of the second season will drop in October.

As the current month is about to come to an end, it looks like the announcement will be too late to hype the series more. If truth be told, the anime's official website revealed the new season would start to hit the small screen this October.

New episodes would drop every Sunday night, starting at 11:15 p.m. JST on Fuji TV Japan, per HypeBeast. It is set to have two parts and the second cour will be out in early 2022 as part of the anime's winter season release.

The second season will end in March. Anyhow, it looks like fans have to take this with a grain of salt and wait for the official announcement for the release date of "Demon Slayer" Season 2 instead.
