There is another "My Hero Academia" story in the form of a novel, titled "School Briefs." There is a new installment in this book series, called "Sakura" or "Cherry Blossoms," which will soon hit the shelves.

"School Briefs" is a book series that tells the story of young high schoolers who possess incredible powers. Written by Anri Yoshi, the creator gets the help of the mangaka himself, Kohei Horikoshi, and starts showing the not so flashy side of Deku and the rest of the gang way back in 2016.

As part of its new offering, the Shueisha book store's official website recently announced the new "School Briefs" novel, "Sakura." It will be out on Oct. 4 and have a price of ¥770 or $7 in Japan.

The site also unveils the new novel's official cover, featuring the much-loved heroes from the "My Hero Academia" world. It has a lot of sakura petals on the background and shows Minoru Mineta, Hanta Sero, Shoto Todoroki, Katsuki Bakugo, Eri, and, of course, Izuku Midoriya.

Tsuyu Asui and Momo Yaoyorozu are also added at the bottom cover, while Erase Head is on the far right. According to Epic Dope, "Sakura" will be the sixth addition to the "School Briefs" novel series and it will take place during an unknown episode of the Paranormal Liberation War Arc.

It includes chapters in valentine, Setsubun and spring break. Sadly, there are no words yet if there will be an English translation for "Sakura," but fans expect Viz Media will do the works, like the previous volumes.

Meanwhile, the news about the "My Hero Academia" light novel comes from insiders from Japan, like aitaikimochi. Comicbook noted the story would coincide with the last arc of the anime's season five.

True enough, the leak revealed its title would be "Cherry Blossoms" and Yoshi would write its story again. The writer's work for the new series should never come as a surprise, as Yoshi has penned the previous light novels for the franchise.

There are theories the new light novel will give fans a glimpse of how the heroes spent their time before their lives turned upside down. Manga fans already knew how the Paranormal Liberation War arc had dramatically changed the series.

Yoshi vows to turn back the time and explore the timeline before Shigaraki spread darkness all over the world. This just means fans may see some slice-of-life scenes in "My Hero Academia" new light novel story, "Sakura."
