Netflix's "Squid Game" has put Wi Ha-joon's popularity to an all sky-high and makes him one of the most followed Korean actors on Instagram. Just like his fellow cast member Jung Ho-yeon, who has now become the most followed Korea actress on the app, the actor has gained a significant number of following.

Wi Ha-joon's Instagram followers have dramatically increased from 300,000 to 5 million, AllKpop noted. It is more than tenfolds of what he used to have, proving he is now basking on the success of "Squid Game."

In addition to his Instagram fame, the 30-year-old star is also going viral after a video of him dancing to TWICE's hit songs, "Cheer Up" and "Hey Mama," is now circulating online. Fans are surprised to see that he can make a move, making him good not only in acting but also on the dance floor.

For starters, the actor played the role of Hwang Jun-ho, a police officer who disguised himself as the game's staff to enter its vicinity. His main goal was to find his brother and to expose the dark secret of this survival game.

Now that the show has become the top trend on Netflix in 82 countries and territories, per FlixPatrol, via Manila Bulletin, being a part of it is a big thing for Wi Ha-joon. However, acting with his co-stars, like Lee Byung-hun, is a bigger opportunity for the rising star.

Lee Byung-hun is one of the most respected actors, who played the role of Hwang Jun-ho's brother, in South Korea. So, learning that he would be working with the 51-year-old star made him more excited to do the series.

When they met, the "Midnight" actor could not help but gush over Lee Byung-hun, admitting he had always been his fan and loved the way he acts.

Lee Byung-hun has received a number of critical acclaims due to his work in a wide range of genres. He is best known in "Joint Security Area;" "A Bittersweet Life;" "The Good, The Bad and The Weird;" "I Saw The Devil" and more.

After these two filmed their scenes together, it made Wi Ha-joon realized Lee Byung-hun was more than just an incredible actor. Every line and expression he delivered made his heart beat fast and despite being a big star, they ate together and the senior actor even took great care of him.

He also commended Lee Byung-hun for being friendly that made him feel touched that he treated him very well. Fans are about to see Wi Ha-joon on the cover of Men's Health Korea October 2021 issue.
