The new "Dragon Ball Super" movie, "Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero," is now hyping things up with its upcoming release. It has now dropped its official promo poster, introducing a couple of new characters fans are about to meet.

The image in question is released for the "Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero" panel at the New York Comic-Con. So, will the franchise give more details about these new characters at the said event?

The poster shows the movie's leads, Goku and Piccolo, in the center. However, Vegeta seems to be missing.

So, where is the fallen Prince of Saiyan? In addition, it also gives a glimpse of Pan as a kid, which may mean the movie will take place after the manga's Granolah saga, per Epic Dope.

The two new characters are also seen here and they are named "one and two." Now, the question is, will their story be similar to Androids 17 and 18?

Akira Toriyama himself confirmed there would be new characters coming in the movie. However, it may be impossible that he will repeat the same character stories.

Meanwhile, Comicbook noted there would be big news coming at the NYCC this month. The event would now be in-person despite the pandemic, but it would surely impose strict health measures.

The panel will not be streamed this time, so the guests will receive a VIP treatment. NYCC is now gathering the panels that are coming to the event and it will be including "Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero."

The franchise confirmed the news on Twitter, saying a special panel would be happening for the film. It would feature the voice actors Ian Sinclair and Monica Rial, who would lead the film, along with the producer Akio Iyoku and editor Norihiro Hayashida.

The movie's special panel will take place on Thursday, Oct. 7. "Since 1984, the 'Dragon Ball' series has continuously brought exciting adventures to fans around the globe," NYCC said about the event.

Meanwhile, fans now have high expectations for the movie and they are now waiting for an official trailer. It has been five months since the film was announced, so it may be the right time to give fans a glimpse of what they are about to see.

As the movie will, reportedly, be 3DCG based, fans cannot help but get worried about its styling. Will it live up to their expectations? Find out when "Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero" drops sometime in 2022.
