Fans have to wait for another week before they finally witness the start of the Kalinga Recreation in "Jujutsu Kaisen" Chapter 162. The manga will be on a one-week break due to Gege Akutami's health issue.
The manga series has had several short breaks before because of AKutami's health problem. However, he will often insist there is nothing to worry about, so fans will see "Jujutsu Kaisen" Chapter 162 in no time.
Epic Dope noted Yuji and Megumi would become official the Culling Game players in the next installment. After they have been separated when they enter the Kalinga Recreation Barrier, the two will be designated to one of the nine predetermined locations, just like other participants.
Here, fans are about to meet Remi. He is a high-school student whose hair looks like a scorpion's tail. He will be Megumi's partner after they manage to craft a deal and it looks like he gets herself a protector.
Meanwhile, in the short preview for "Jujutsu Kaisen" Chapter 162, it reveals there will be an "invitation to the path of carnage." So, what does it mean? It looks like there will be a number of epic battles happening here after Akutami teases another set of intense fights.
In "Jujutsu Kaisen" Chapter 161, Megumi warned Yuji of the incarnated sorcerers from the past. Though the latter agreed, he still wanted Megumi to explain some more, per IBTimes.
Megumi revealed some of the sorcerers were from a thousand years ago when fighting to death was a norm. It might be the reason why the sorcerers had contracts with Kenjaku, knowing they could kill as many players as they liked.
Megumi added that Higuruma and Kashimo might be ancient sorcerers, so they should never negotiate with them. A Kogane, then, appeared and asked them if they wanted to get inside the barrier and join the Culling Game.
Megumi reminded Yuji they had to focus on Higuruma and gather as much information as possible. However, they got separated when they entered the barrier, as the Culling Game randomly placed a player in one of the designated locations.
Yuji, then, saw a boy with a flashlight and thought he might be guiding him. Little did he know that he was already signaling his partner, Hanyu, of an enemy.
Hanyu quickly attacked Yuji and they crashed through several highrises together. It took Yuji time before he could get himself together.
Though he was surprised, Hankyu was impressed by Yuji's grit. Alternatively, Megumi faced another player named Remi. What happens from here can be seen when "Jujutsu Kaisen" Chapter 162 drops on Sunday, Oct. 17.
