Breakout star Jung Ho-yeon has been making a big name all over the globe after the worldwide success of Netflix's "Squid Game." She is now the most followed South Korean actress on Instagram and this newfound fame includes the emergence of a number of fake accounts.

The model made an official announcement to address her fans about her social media page. With millions of followers on Instagram, she revealed she only has one account and it is on IG.

In a post on Instagram Story, the 27-year-old star revealed this is the only social media she has right now. She does not have Twitter, TikTok, Facebook or even YouTube, AllKpop noted.

She, then, thanked her fans for their support as she has now become a rising star after playing the role of Kang Sae-byeok on the hit Netflix series. This role catapulted the actress's fame to an all-new high, earning her millions of followers in an instant.

However, with this fame, it cannot be helped that there will be several fake accounts across all social media pages claiming to be her. So, Ho-yeon decided to address this issue and warn her fans.

Meanwhile, the "Korea's Next Top Model" runnerup has now surpassed Song Hye-kyo and fellow model Lee Sung-kyung as the most followed South Korean actress on Instagram. She has dramatically increased her followers from 400,000 to 10 million in just two weeks after "Squid Game" release, per The Quint.

As of this writing, she now has a whopping 19.1 million followers and it looks like it will continuously grow. So, what will be her next move?

Ho-yeon told Korea JoongAng Daily she would now make sure that her next step would be a "sturdy one." She would often remember director Hwang Dong-hyuk advised that the "entire process was made up of small steps."

Though it could be denied that "Squid Game" became a big thing, it did not necessarily mean that she had become "hugely different." "I'm just myself," she said.

She knew that her responsibility now was to meet her fans with her better self. Though she admitted that she could feel some burden, she would cheerfully get ready for the next step.

Ho-yeon revealed she felt ashamed when she looked back on when she joined "Korea's Next Top Model" in 2013, thinking the public might not take her role as Sae-byeok seriously. Thankfully, it was a huge success, bringing her to where she is today.
