Us Weekly learned that the couple's friends are "fearing the worst" as signs of splitting have seemingly become apparent. Apart from the reported photos, showing the "Legally Blonde" star without her wedding ring, witnesses, allegedly, saw her checking into a hotel on her own.
An industry insider, also, stated that the celebrity has already started making plans in secret to become a single mom to their 9-year-old son. She has, reportedly, "spent the last year preparing for the next chapter" of her life.
The initial sources explained what went wrong between Reese Witherspoon and Jim Toth. As alleged, it all started in 2019 when the Hollywood agent was working on his startup, Quibi.
Six months after the launch, the platform crashed and shut down. The tension between the couple, then, reportedly, began and things fell apart from home amid the pandemic.
Divorce rumors further strengthened their stance when Witherspoon did not, allegedly, mention her husband in an interview. As reported, she opened up about "making space" for the people who matter the most, and she only referred to her kids and mom.
In August, more speculations emerged when Reese Witherspoon unloaded her company, Hello Sunshine. Some tabloids alleged that she sold the media company, which she founded with her husband, to proceed with their divorce.

Furthermore, Witherspoon and Toth just marked their 10th wedding anniversary in March. The actress shared a tribute on social media for their marriage.
She referred to her husband as "sweet hubby," and wished for them to have "many more days in the sun."
