Kawaki has to learn about teamwork in "Boruto" Episode 229. Growing up in abuse and isolation, he does not have company, but he needs to change his way to successfully become a ninja.

Kawaki is still making no friends and not helping anyone despite being on a mission with a group. So, how can he prove that he is worthy of being a Shinobi in "Boruto" Episode 229?

Epic Dope noted Naruto wants Kawaki to protect and work with people. Kawaki seems to be the young Sasuke, who was exactly like him when he was a teenager.

Despite that, he had a deep conversation with Sarada and told her that he had no place to call his own village. This makes the fans who ship for Kawaki and Sarada look forward to what may develop between these two.

In addition, Kawaki will receive a new mission in "Boruto" Episode 229 to prove his worth as a ninja, IBTimes cited. Titled "Breach of Orders," the trailer shows Kawaki talking to his new teammates, Nara Shikadai and Akimichi ChouChou, telling them he will complete this task.

Kawaki, Shikadai and ChouChou receive a new order to escort Mozuku back to his homeland, the Land of Calm Seas. However, for Mozuku, a shinobi who comes late cannot complete the mission, making him question if Kawaki is serious about this.

Meanwhile, in "Boruto" Episode 228, Team 7 received their final mission with Konohamaru after Sarada became a Chunin, per Epic Stream. Boruto felt tired, unable to sleep and noticed that Kawaki was gone.

Kawaki had a scheduled training and an urgent meeting. However, he remained asleep, so Boruto and Himawari played rock-paper-scissors to know who would wake him up.

After he lost, Boruto needed to wake Kawaki up. The latter went to the Hokage's office and Naruto asked if he wanted to be a Shinobi.

He had to graduate from the academy first and take an exam. With his skills, they gave him a D-Rank mission and if he became a Genin, he could join Team 7.

Kawaki went to the forest with Iwabe, Metal, Denki, and Team 5. Their target was a ferocious panda and Kawaki seemed not interested to join the group as he laid down under a tree.

Iwabe, Metal and Denki completed the mission while Kawaki slept. He even left when the mission was completed.

So, what will happen to Kawaki? Find out when "Boruto" Episode 229 drops on Sunday, Dec. 19.
