The month is about to end and it is time to reveal the most talked-about Korean celebrities and K-pop boy groups for December. For a month, the Korea Institute of Corporate Reputation and Korean Business Research Institute had analyzed Korean artists and groups in terms of brand value and here were who came on top.

The Korea Institute of Corporate Reputation evaluated the most famous South Korean stars online, regardless of their entertainment role and genre. Some of the accounts it looked into were consumer participation, media activity, community, community activity and more.

AllKpop noted that the trot singer and YouTuber Lim Young-woong secured the top spot as the most talked-about Korean celebrity of December with 11,930,573 points. Of course, BTS is part of the list, following closely behind in second place with 10,139,254 points.

Tottenham Hotspur forward Son Heung-min got the third spot with 7,862,193 points, followed by BLACKPINK with 6,485,055 points. From fifth to tenth, other stars who made it on the rankings were Yoo Jae-suk, Gong Yoo, IU, Girls' Generations, Kand Daniel, and IVE.

Meanwhile, BTS topped the most popular K-pop boy group list of December with a brand participation index of 1,982,938, a media index of 2,231,316, a communication index of 1,958,974 and a community index 2,557,436, per KPop Post.

The group's brand index dramatically increased by 46.60%, from only 5,955,484 in November to 8,730,664 in December. 

However, the Korean Business Research Institute's gathered overall data from Nov. 11 to Dec. 11 showed it fell by 4.91%. The organization only got 53,070,133 for this month compared to 55,812,992 for November.

Anyhow, the septet group continued to conquer the list and it had been doing so for the past 43 months. In addition, keyword-analysis-wise, Super Tuna, Instagram and ARMY became the highest-ranking phrases, while the highest-ranking related terms were award, selected and surpassed. The group also gained 87.90% when it comes to positivity-negativity analysis.

Moreover, SEVENTEEN followed BTS on the second spot with 475,527 brand participation index, 1,527,157 media index, 728,880 communication index and 810,250 community index. EXO got the third spot with 138,302 brand participation index, 812,526 media index, 591,540 communication index and 1,050,078 community index.

MONSTA X also joined the list at No. 4 with 348,665 brand participation index, 1,248,158 media index, 516,474 communication index and 468,385 community index. Lastly, NCT took the fifth spot with 215,090 brand participation index, 781,293 media index, 446,876 communication index and 953,251 community index. From sixth to tenth spots, other K-pop boy band who made it on the list are THE BOYZ, SF9, SHINee, ASTRO and BTOB.
