Years have passed since rumors about Tom Holland and Zendaya began circulating among the fans and followers. But, despite the apparent clamor for their romance since then, it was not until recently that they seemingly began dating.

Sources told Us Weekly that the Marvel stars went from being friends to "head over heels," adding that they do not care who knows about it. The pair is reportedly now in the "new love phase," causing them to want to spend every moment together.

The insiders continued that, with their relationship now public knowledge, it has made them "even more confident" in their romance. Moreover, it is claimed that their friends approve of them being together.

While their respective circles, alongside their fans, love them, as well as their relationship, not everyone seemingly supports them dating each other. Seventeen reported that Amy Pascal previously discouraged Tom Holland and Zendaya from starting a romantic tie.

The "Spider-Man: No Way Home" producer told The New York Times that she talked to both celebrities when they first cast them. She recalled giving them a "lecture" about not dating each other.

She also shared that she gave the same advice to Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone, who played the roles of Spider-Man and Gwen Stacy, in Sony's "The Amazing Spider-Man" film series.

Pascal, later on, noted that "it just complicates things," adding, however, that all the stars she gave the advice to "ignored" her.

Zendaya and Tom Holland appeared to have confirmed their romance in July 2021. Several photos and clips went public, showing them "packing on the PDA," according to Page Six.

During the same day, witnesses spotted them at the "Euphoria" actress's mother's home in the Silver Lake neighborhood of Los Angeles. Some pictures, also, surfaced, featuring Claire Stoermer, alongside the couple, causing many to speculate that the relationship is "serious."

It remains unclear, though, when the two celebrities started their romance. The publication said that they both had rumored romantic links with other stars in the years prior.

Nevertheless, Tom Holland and Zendaya first sparked dating rumors in 2017. Amid the speculations, though, the actress "downplayed" the stories through a social media post.

Despite this, fans and followers continued to hope for dating confirmations from the two Marvel stars. This seemingly became especially true when Holland revealed that his first celebrity was the "Greatest Showman" actress before changing his answer to Jennifer Aniston.
