Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin are about to tie the knot in March and many are now reliving their sweet love story. So, where does this fairy tale begin?
Many think Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin's relationship begins on the set of their hit TV series "Crash Landing on You." However, it looks like their feelings for each other may have developed far longer than that.
A netizen created an online community forum, via AllKpop, to analyze when the King and Queen of K-drama's paths started to cross. The two are of the same age and debuted in the same era, so it's not far that they had met on a few occasions before they worked together.
They officially started to cross paths when they graced the red carpet screening for Son Ye Jin's 2004 movie "A Moment to Remember." At the time, the 39-year-old actor said he was looking forward to seeing the film's star Jung Woo Sung and, of course, the latter's leading lady.
In 2011, they started to work together on the last episode of Hyun Bin's "Secret Garden," though they weren't seen together in the drama. In 2014, they appeared in the same frame at the Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival when they received the Producers' Choice Award.
From here, they starred in the movie "The Negotiation," though they only worked together in the final scenes. However, they consistently went together in the movie's press conferences, pictorials and interviews.
They also did a pictorial for Vogue together. After the film's release in 2018, rumors about their romance began.
After a year, Son Ye Jin and Hyun Bin did "Crash Landing on You," which brought them newfound fame. They even started to be internationally recognized.
After that, they became the faces of the Philippine-based mobile service company Smart before officially confirming their relationship in 2021. After just a year, the couple formally announced their engagement on Instagram, per CNN.
Son Ye Jin first shared the good news on her account by posting a little white wedding dress. She said she had thought long and hard before she decided to share her story because it was an important one.
She, then, revealed she had met someone she wanted to spend her life with and many knew it was Hyun Bin even without naming him. An hour later, the actor also made the announcement through his agency, VAST Entertainment. Son Ye Jin's agency, MS Team, later confirmed the news and revealed the couple's wedding would be held in Seoul this March.
