After BigHit Music announced BTS's return on stage, with "BTS Permission to Dance on Stage - Seoul" concert, does it mean the K-pop group will officially come back? Eagle-eyed fans can't help but believe so after believing HYBE may have leaked Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V and Jungkook's new album.
ARMYs started to notice something different on BTS's YouTube channel on Thursday, Feb. 17. Under the group's profile, a new album seems to appear and it has the title "Forever."
So, what does it mean? Will BTS release a new album this year?
Koreaboo noted the alleged new album even has a tracklist that includes some of the boys' hit songs, like "Butter" and "Euphoria." Seeing that, many believe the possible new LP will feature the global phenomenon's biggest tracks.
To add fuel to the fire, "Forever" even comes up as the group's latest album when searched on Google. So, fans can't help but make their own theories.
Of course, they're all excited that BTS may drop a new album. However, upon checking the LP's details, they learned it was under the record label called J Records and not HYBE or BigHit Music.
Its release date was also dated Feb. 15. So when fans pieced all the evidence together, it found out the YouTube channel might have been hacked or there might be a glitch.
YouTube is currently updating its users' accounts' set up and this may have resulted in a glitch in the system that causes the leak. The album cover is also used for another design online and was only edited to put BTS's name on it.
Anyhow, YouTube, BigHit Music or HYBE have yet to release a statement to clear the confusion. However, if there's one thing certain, BTS will hold a concert this March and it can be seen on the big screen, per Variety.
Titled "BTS Permission to Dance on Stage - Seoul: Live Viewing," it will be a live broadcast and mark the first live worldwide cinema broadcast of a concert from South Korea. The musical performance will run for three hours and it will feature some of the boys' best songs from across their catalog.
The concert tickets will start on sale on Tuesday, Feb. 22, in North and South America, Europe and Oceania, and in Asia on Thursday, Feb. 24. Once again, fans will see BTS perform "Butter," "Dynamite" and "Permission to Dance" live on stage.
