Kim Tae Ri and Nam Joo Hyuk play the lead roles of Na Hee Do and Back Yi Jin in "Twenty Five Twenty One." Though many are commending the series' story, some are questioning the pairing of these two stars.
The series has just dropped four episodes so far and viewers seem to see already where it is going. Na Hee Do and Back Yi Jin may have a romantic relationship, which many do not want to happen.
Why? Though many K-drama viewers want to see their favorite shows' lead stars to end up together, not in this tvN series.
Koreaboo revealed fans have mixed feelings due to the actors' age gap. Na Hee Do is just 18 years old in the series, while Back Yi Jin is 22.
Fans even called Na Hee Do a minor, so she should never be involved with anyone older than her. Some even said others should never dare ship Na Hee Do and Back Yi Jin.
Anyhow, others disagree, stressing nothing romantic is going on between the two in "Twenty Five Twenty One." Everything is strictly platonic and the characters have respect for their age difference during this time.
However, things may eventually turn romantic as they grow older. In real life, Kim Tae Ri is already 31, while Nam Joo Hyuk is younger than her at 28.
Meanwhile, despite only hitting the small screens for two weeks, "Twenty Five Twenty One" is now the most buzzworthy drama. In fact, it defended its title last week when it dropped its third and fourth episodes.
Soompi revealed it ranked No. 1 on Good Date Corporation's weekly list of K-dramas that generated the most buzz. The company determines each week's rankings by collecting data from news articles, blog posts, online community talks, videos and social media posts about a particular series that is about to air soon or currently airing.
"Twenty Five Twenty One" effortlessly made it on the list of the most buzzworthy dramas for the second week in a row. It also made it on the list of the most buzzworthy drama cast members.
Kim Tae Ri, Nam Joo Hyuk and WJSN's Bona made it at No. 1, No. 2 and No. 7 spots, respectively. "Twenty Five Twenty One" Episodes 5 and 6 will be out on February 26 and 27.
