The new episode will be titled "Traitor" and the preview hints at the alliance between the remaining members of Marley's army, the Yeagerists and the Eldian scouts. These three groups are about to fulfill their new plan and it doesn't look good.
Comicbook noted someone would come out as a traitor and knowing there have been several traitorous acts due to the arising conflicts, it's a big question who this traitor can be and which alliance he or she comes from. As Eren's Rumbling pushes through and a genocidal rampage is about to destroy the world, the people of Marley and Paradis are now working together to stop this mass slaughter in "Attack on Titan" Season 4 Episode 85.
Meanwhile, "Attack on Titan" Season 4 Episode 84 featured an unlikely alliance between the Eldians, Marley and the Yeagerists. Each of them now realized the impact of Eren's plan to destroy the world. Mikasa, Armin, Jean, Levi, Hange and Connie have worked together with Captain Magath and Pieck, along with Yelena and Onyankopon.
The last few chapters of the series will all be calculating their own feelings about the situation. They all need to make a move to craft a plan to help save the world.
Meanwhile, the series has also dropped the title of its final two episodes, "Retrospective" and "The Dawn of Humanity," per We Got This Covered. If the series ends with Episode 87, then the "Dawn of Humanity" will be the series finale.
However, some still question the number of episodes the final season has. Compared to the manga series, 12 chapters are still left to completely feature the end of Hajime Isayama'sepic story.
Hence, many find it impossible for the anime to tell everything about the series' end in just three episodes. There are theories that the final episode will be feature-length, which may cover the rest of the story.
There are also assumptions that MAPPA will reveal its plans for "special programming" during the upcoming Anime Japan festival. "Attack on Titan" Season 4 Episode 85 will drop on Sunday, March 13.
