ITZY's Yuna is in the middle of a dating rumor with ENHYPEN's Jay. After the two posted similar photos from the same restaurant, did these two go together?
Yuna first shared a series of photos on the fan messenger, Bubble. She visited the Gordon Ramsay Burger restaurant at Lotte World Mall in Seoul.
As her meals appeared to be for two people--two burgers and drinks--everyone was sure she was with someone. However, she didn't reveal any photos of who she was with.
So, who could it be? Many believed it was Jay from ENHYPEN. The 19-year-old male K-pop idol also posted the same set of snaps from the same restaurant on the same day Yuna shared her pictures, AllKpop noted.
He also had burgers and milkshakes on his table. With the similarities, rumors quickly emerged that they went on a date.
A netizen even started an online comminute to ask others if these two were really dating. So to shut down the malicious claims, ITZY quickly cleared the air the next day after posting her snaps.
She said she was with a longtime pal she had been friends with since elementary school. The two have been friends for 11 years and they were celebrating her college admission.
She even posted another snap to show the female friend she was with, sitting on the opposite side. Alternatively, Jay also shed light on the issue, revealing he was with his father at the time. In fact, taking a closer look at his pictures would reveal a guy sitting opposite him.
Talking about Yuna's college admission, she recently graduated from high school on February 11, per Gossip Chimp. She quickly shared her graduation photos and the before-and-after snaps when she was just a freshman on social media.
For starters, photos of her, along with Ryuji and Chaeryong, went viral when they posed together at the entrance ceremony of Hanlim Multi Arts School in Seoul in 2019.
Now, she's about to enter college, proving how time flies fast. In her commencement pictures, she showed a close-up, formal snap.
