(G)I-DLE's Soyeon just dropped her new album, "I Never Die," on Monday, March 14, with the songs "TOMBOY" and "NEVER STOP ME." Though the tracks feature powerful vocals, fans can't help but notice that the tracks seem to be a diss to HyunA.

Though there is no known feud between these two female idols, Soyeon and HyunA used to be labelmates before Cube Entertaiment let the latter go with DAWN following their dating rumors emerged. So, what's the truth about it?

In the song "TOMBOY," Soyeon sings she doesn't want to play this "ping pong" and will rather film a TikTok. It has been known that HyunA's has a collaboration song with her fiancée, DAWN, titled "PING PONG."

So, many netizens believe the phrase "play the ping pong" references HyunA's song. Does it mean Soyeon would rather do a TikTok video instead of listening to her former labelmate's hit track?

Alternatively, in "NEVER STOP ME," Soyeon raps the lines about someone being scolded by her father, out of the company and having an upcoming wedding. These things seem to perfectly apply on HyunA.

It has been known that HyunA and DAWN have been kicked out of Cube Entertainment due to their relationship. These two are also already engaged and about to get married.

So, is the upcoming wedding Soyeon is referencing about them? Koreaboo points out the songs are only taken out of context.

"TOMBOY" is about an ex-boyfriend. Soyeon says she doesn't care about being the Barbie doll her former lover wants her to be and will stay the "tomboy" she wants. In fact, it also has the line, his mom raised him as a prince, but they're in the queendom, which has nothing to do with HyunA.

As HyunA and DAWN use ping pong to show the love and bond between couples, Soyeon rejects that idea by rejecting her ex-boyfriend's affection. Thus, she doesn't want to play ping pong.

Moreover, in "NEVER STOP ME," Soyeon describes another ex-boyfriend who lefts her brokenhearted after an unexpected breakup. The song also has the lyrics, last rocket, which means she is about to take her revenge.

Meanwhile, HyunA recently tested positive for COVID-19, per The Star. P Nation released a statement about the matter, revealing she took a rapid antigen test and polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test after experiencing a mild fever.

The last test showed a positive result on March 7. The agency, founded by Psy, said she would halt all her work activities and stay at home to recover. HyunA had already completed two doses of vaccination.
