More major details about the "Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero" movie are coming out as fans are looking forward to its release. After unveiling the characters' poster, fans also get an update about its timeline in the "Dragon Ball" canon.

"Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero Highlights Explained" dropped some teasers about "Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero." By the looks of it, it is indeed a sequel to "Dragon Ball Super: Broly" and the two have something to do with each other.

The new featurette confirmed the movie would take place on Earth after the fierce battle with Broly. With the continuation of the fight, it just proves "peace did not last for long."

Comicbook noted it had been a long question as to how the movie would fit the complex "Dragon Ball" canon timeline. "Dragon Ball Z" is considered the furthest point on the canon timeline, so all "Dragon Ball Super" events have to happen within that timeframe-unless there is a time jump.

Fans also have to consider the "Dragon Ball Super" manga is still running and it has been going on for years now, though there are only two films produced so far, "Broly" and "Super Hero." The manga is currently featuring the Granolah Arc and there are major happenings so far that may have a connection with the "Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero" movie, which is approaching its story.

This just means the upcoming movie will help connect the manga to the anime. The "Dragon Ball Super" anime ended with the Tournament of Power Arc, followed by the "Broly" movie.

Though the manga seemed to have no connection with "Broly," its next storyline, the Moro Arc, happened before the Granolah Arc began. This leaves a "nice tight window of time" before the Moro Arc and the "Super Hero" storyline occurs.

Meanwhile, aside from the movie's timeline, Toei Animation released new character posters for the upcoming film. Coming Soon cited the posters put the heroes and villains under the spotlight that will primarily be seen in the movie.

It shows the new antagonists Dr. Hedo, Gamma 1 and Gamma 2, along with the returning and iconic characters of Goku, Gohan, Piccolo, Vegeta and Pan.

Toei also announced the official release date of "Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero." The movie was delayed due to the hack last month and is now rescheduled for June 11. The film was supposed to be out on April 22.
