It has been about two years since "Chainsaw Man" announced its upcoming anime adaptation. After the long wait, a new report hinted at when the series would finally come out.

Tatsuki Fujimoto ended the first part of his manga series in December 2020. More than a year has passed and fans are still waiting for "Chainsaw Man" Part 2 and its anime adaptation.

Comicbook revealed there would be a continuation of the story of Denji, the series' protagonist, in the second part of the manga that would be published on the Shueisha Jump+ app. Not only that, though, his tale would also be seen on the small screen that would be produced by the "Attack on Titan" Season 4 studio, MAPPA.

However, after the initial promotional materials for the series, there are no updates about its production. There are theories that the first season will be out sometime this year, but there is no definite release date yet.

As the Spring 2022 season is about to end and the Summer season draws near, there is still a chance the anime will make it this year. In the new report by Twitter user @SugoiLITE, the anime may debut in Fall 2022, which will be around October.

If this happens, it only makes sense. However, it may not be a traditional October release date, considering MAPPA has released new animes outside of this window in the past, like "Attack on Titan" Season 4 Part 1, which dropped in December.

This may still mean the series may still be in production and continuously developing. Also, considering how MAPPA is swamped with a lot of work for this year and the next, it may be a big surprise if it drops "Chainsaw Man" in Fall, though many hope it will.

For starters, the franchise is about the poor young man Denji, per Fortress of Solitude. He will do anything for money, even if he has to hunt down devils with his devil pet dog, Pochita.

Denji is just a simple man with simple dreams, but everything is about to change after drowning under a mountain of debt. His world will turn upside down when someone he trusts betrays him.

He will then become a brand new man, called Chainsaw Man, with the devil's power inside him. The manga debuted in 2018.

Though quite new, it quickly rose to prominence and continuously grew popular. The first part ended with 97 chapters, divided into 11 volumes, in 2020.

Now, fans are waiting for the coming of "Chainsaw Man" anime and its manga's second part.
