The talks about BTS's V and BLACKPINK's Jennie's dating rumors continue and it seems to heighten up as the days go by. As more evidence comes to light, the latest is the pair of Chanel earrings V donned that Jennie modeled.
V made his first public appearance after the dating rumors began. He probably knew all eyes would be on him and he might want to make it worth their while.
The 26-year-old was seen at the Incheon International Airport as he traveled to the U.S. to visit the White House. There, he was spotted wearing a pair of slip-on ear cuffs that Jennie modeled for Chanel.
Netizens said he was never seen wearing ear cuffs until now, AllKpop noted. In fact, he is said to be not wearing earrings in general when he is traveling abroad.
With that said, fans started to talk about it on an online community forum. One fan said it was quite funny catching him wearing an ear cuff from the line of products that the BLACKPINK member was promoting.
So, she seemed to believe that this move was like telling everyone to acknowledge them. Another netizen claimed he could not either admit or deny it, but it felt like he did not "want to lose."
"This battle of the tensions is legendary," a different fan added. However, others see this claim as a bit forced, asking if V is not allowed to wear any Chanel product.
Some also question the way people talk about them in ways that "they have never done before." Another stressed that the ear cuff in question is not even a couple item.
Dating rumors started to surround V and Jennie on May 23 when an alleged photo of them together surfaced online, per Pop Sugar. The two were said to be seen driving around Jeju Island.
Though some said the photo looked real, others saw it as fake, especially Jennie was also rumored to be dating Big Bang's G-Dragon, though they reportedly broke up. Both Jennie and G-Dragon did not confirm their alleged romance.
To add more fuel to the fire, an employee from Korean airline T'way Air claimed to have seen the two on a flight to Jeju Island together. The said employee made a post on the Blind app and revealed more details about the alleged outing.
The employee also claimed several of her workmates saw them traveling together in the open. Both V and Jennie's agencies, BigHit Music and YG Entertainment, remain mum about the dating claims.
