It can't be denied that all the contenders gave their bests to win "Queendom 2." Brave Girls, Cosmic Girls, Hyolyn, Kep1er and VIVIZ have put on exceptional performances for the past two months.
However, netizens cant't help but wonder how the streaming points were taken into consideration as they didn't expect the rankings' result. The show tallied the contenders' points for the final round and added the streaming points of the songs they recently released to determine the grand winner.
AllKpop noted many believed VIVIZ had higher streaming points compared to Cosmic Girl. LOONA and VIVIZ were said to have the highest stream scores on Spotify.
So, netizens started discussing the issue on the online community The Qoo to air their dissatisfaction and demand to see the "Queendom 2" grading system.
One fan asked if the show took out the double counts knowing LOONA had a lot of international fans. Another pointed out that VIVIZ had a lot more streams in South Korea.
"I thought VIVIZ and LOONA had the highest number of streams; when did Cosmic Girls beat VIVIZ when it comes to stream points?" one fan asked. With that said, many wanted Mnet to show its scoring system and explain how it worked.
They felt that the Cosmic Girls' streaming points were unbelievably high, while others said VIVIZ and Cosmic Girls should switch places.
For starters, Brave Girls released the song "Whistle," while Hyolyn dropped "Waka Boom" followed by Kep1er with "THE GIRLS." LOONA, VIVIZ and Cosmic Girls then released "POSE," "Red Sun" and "AURA," respectively.
The songs' points were tallied to determine "Queendom 2" grand winner. LOONA and Cosmic Girls went head-to-head with their final scores for the crown.
In the end, Cosmic Girls came out the winner with a score of 81,020, followed by LOONA with 77,988 points. VIVIZ scored 54,419 points, Hyolyn had 48,761 points, Kep1er got 46,976 points and Brave Girls with 45,896 points.
