Netflix confirmed the coming of "All of Us Are Dead" Season 2 at the Netflix's Geeked Week event. The streaming giant has finally renewed the series for a second season, so will it now answer the mysteries the previous season left?
Netflix Korea drops an "All of Us Are Dead" Season 2 spooky poster on Tuesday, June 7. It also releases an announcement video featuring the cast Yoon Chan Young, Park Ji Hu, Cho Yi Hyun and Lomon, per Soompi.
For starters, the series is about a group of students trapped in their school after a zombie virus breaks out, waiting to be rescued. The first season was an instant hit when it premiered in February and even secured the No. 1 spot in 25 countries.
The first season ended with an open ending. The government quarantines the student survivors, while Nam Ra (Cho Yi Hyun) becomes a half-zombie and Cheong San (Yoon Chan Young) is presumed dead.
So, will "All of Us Are Dead" Season 2 answer all the questions fans have? Some of the mysteries that need some answers are the whereabouts of the captured zombies, including Eun Ji (Oh Hye Soo), the girl Gwi Nam (Yoo In Soo) bullied, Newsweek noted.
The government also found the professor's son and wife in the room where he took his videos from. So, where did they keep them and what does the government plan to do with them?
Also, many want to know the reason behind the immune and immortal zombies. The series' director J.Q. Lee called them "mutant zombies" and it includes Nam Ra, who has zombie-like qualities but has some control.
Gwi Nam is also the immortal kind, unable to die despite the many attempts Su Hyeok (Lomon) and his friends made.
Of course, the most important mystery of them all is the case of Cheong San, who tried to fight Gwi Nam to save his friends while the city was being bombed. The two seemed to be engulfed by the giant blaze from the bombing.
So, did he and Gwi Nam die or not? He was in a shaft to lure the zombies to their death while clinging to the wall.
So, did he somehow manage to survive while clinging to the shaft's wall? It's also good to note that Gwi Nam is an immortal zombie, which may mean he's still alive.
The back of his white jacket has "hanh ma eum," which means "one heart" in English. So, does it hint that he's about to lead an army of his own zombies?
There are no words yet on when "All of Us Are Dead" Season 2 will be out, but many expect it to be released in 2023.
