Ivana Trump, the first wife of former President Donald Trump and mother of his three oldest children, passed away on Friday, her family said she was 73 years old.

"To inform all of her many fans about her dying makes me feel incredibly sad. She was an amazing, beautiful, fascinating woman with an amazing and invigorating life," Trump said.

Ivana Trump died yesterday at her New York City residence, Donald Trump posted on his social media platform, Truth Social.

"Her greatest sources of pride were her three children, Donald Jr., Ivanka, and Eric. She shared our pride in her just as much as our pride in them. Ivana, I wish you a peaceful rest," the former U.S. president added.

The Trump siblings announced the passing of their mother with deep sorrow. "Our mother was an incredible woman who excelled in business, was an elite athlete, was breathtakingly beautiful, and was a loving mother and friend."

According to the family, Ivana Trump overcame great difficulties in her life. She immigrated in the U.S. after abandoning communism and instilled in her kids "perseverance, kindness, and resilience."

"Her three children, her mother, and her 10 grandchildren will all mourn her bitterly," the family said.

According to the reporters, she was discovered dead at the foot of a flight of steps in her Upper East Side Manhattan home.

Reporters said, her death is not being treated as suspicious, and authorities are investigating whether she fell. Initial reports show that authorities assumed she died of natural causes.

Ivana Trump, née Zelnickova, was born in Czechoslovakia on February 20, 1949, and she became a talented skier.

According to her lawyer at the time, she married Alfred Winklmayr, an Austrian ski instructor and acquaintance, in 1971 so she could get Austrian citizenship and leave communist Czechoslovakia.

They separated in 1973. Then, she relocated to Canada, where she worked as a ski instructor and model.

She first met Donald Trump in New York City in 1976 while on a modeling assignment. The following year, they were married.

The Trumps' relationship frequently served as tabloid fodder. In 1992, following his liaison with actress Marla Maples, they divorced.

Donald Trump married Maples in 1993. Tiffany, his fourth child, was born the same year. They divorced in 1999.

Then Trump married Melania Knauss, a Slovenian model and the mother of their son Barron, who was born the following year.
