Ko Woo Rim is the youngest member of the crossover quartet Forestella. A group started to form through JTBC's singing competition "Phantom Singer 2."
From there, he started to be recognized. Born in 1995, the singer is now 27 years old and five years younger than Kim Yuna.
He's the base vocal of Forestella and a graduate of the National University's Department of Vocal Music. AllKpop noted he's also attending graduate school at the same university today.
Talent-wise, Ko Woo Rim has proven his incredible musical skills through the various competitions he joined. He won second place in the German Song Competition in 2014 and the Eom Jeong Haeng National Vocal Competition in 2017.
His debut album, "Evolution," with his fellow Forestella members, came after winning "Phantom Singer 2." He also became known through the KBS 2TV show "Immortal Songs."
Meanwhile, Kim Yuna formally announced her upcoming marriage to Ko Woo Rim, per Korea Herald. Her agency, All That Sports, also confirmed the news and revealed they planned to tie the knot in Seoul at the end of October.
The company's officials also revealed that the two first met at 2018 All That Sports ice show, where Forestella performed. From there, they started dating and after three years of romance, they decided to get married.
Alternatively, Ko Woo Rim's music label, Beat Interactive, announced its talent's imminent marriage to Kim Yuna this fall. It revealed the wedding would be a private event with only close relatives and acquaintances in attendance. With that said, they asked for fans' understanding for they wouldn't share any details about their marriage's date and venue.
As expected, many fans and netizens alike celebrate the news of Kim Yuna and Ko Woo Rim's marriage. After publicizing their relationship the day their engagement was announced, congratulatory messages poured in.
They even expressed their jealousy of Ko Woo Rim, saying he seemed to win the lottery by marrying Kim Yuna. "He must have saved the universe in his previous life (meaning he is very lucky)," one fan said, via News Naver.
