Since the start of the pandemic, there have been three rounds of stimulation checks, but many people urgently need another one. Even if inflation is still punishing consumers, states are rising to the challenge. However, not all states are able to meet the need for more money.

California

Residents who meet the criteria will be given up to $1,050 between late October 2022 and mid-January. 2023.

To be eligible, you must not have been claimed as someone else's dependent during the 2020 tax year, have lived in California for at least six months during the 2020 tax year, and have filed your 2020 tax returns by October 15, 2021. Additionally, you must still be a legal resident of California at the time the payments are made and fulfill specific California-adjusted gross income requirements.

Colorado

Eligible Colorado citizens can get a tax reimbursement of $750 for single filers and $1,500 for joint filers through the Colorado Cash Back Bill. Depending on when they filed, taxpayers will receive the rebate between September 30, 2022, and January 31, 2023.

According to the state's Department of Revenue website, if you submitted your Colorado state income tax return by June 30th, you should have received your stimulus check by September 30th. Individuals who have prolonged tax return due dates in October 2022 had to get them by January 31, 2023.

Delaware

Residents who meet the requirements get a one-time $300 payment from the Delaware Relief Rebate Program. This summer, checks will be issued.

Delaware citizens must have submitted their 2021 state tax return before the deadline to be eligible, and they are then automatically eligible for the refund.

The money will go to around 59,000 families.

Georgia law allows for cost-of-living tax refunds of $250 for individuals, $375 for heads of households, and $500 for married couples and joint filers.

The majority of payments will be sent out by early August to taxpayers who submitted their taxes by the 2022 tax deadline of April 18 according to the website for the State of Georgia's Department of Revenue.

Idaho residents who qualify will receive a tax credit equal to the greater of $75 or 12% of their state taxes paid in 2020.

All full-year residents received stimulus checks, regardless of income level, starting in May and continuing through July as long as their 2020 tax forms were in by January 3, 2022.

Maine

The largest stimulus payment will go to citizens of Maine: eligible couples and single filers would receive $1,700 and $850, respectively. In June, checks started to be issued.

By October 31, 2022, full-year residents who meet certain requirements must file a Maine income tax return, including having a federally adjusted gross income of under $100,000 for single filers, under $150,000 for married individuals filing separately, and under $200,000 for couples filing jointly or for a surviving spouse. Residents still have until October 31 to file their 2021 tax return to be eligible.

Although the amount of Massachusetts residents' fourth stimulus payment is currently unknown, a 1986 Massachusetts legislation makes it probable that they will receive something. A 7% rebate against state income taxes for 2021 has been proposed by Governor Charlie Baker, but it has not yet been formally adopted.

The State Auditor will decide by September 20 whether Massachusetts will be allowed to award tax credits and how much they will be worth.
