Britain's Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made a surprise visit to Africa this week for an official engagement. But the Duke of Sussex was the only one who visited Vilankulo.
New Idea claimed that Prince Harry decided to go on a three-day tour by himself because he needs some alone time. And since it will be Princess Diana's 25th death anniversary soon, Prince Harry took the opportunity to remember his mom while he was on tour.
A source claimed that Prince Harry must have also used the opportunity to reflect on his relationship with Prince Charles and Prince William. The three men have allegedly been strained ever since Prince Harry and Markle relocated to the United States.
Even though he doesn't verbalize it, those close to the dad of two know for a fact that he regrets cutting ties with his father and brother.
"Even he has to admit the way he went about it, doing scathing interviews, for example, burned some bridges he'd rather he hadn't. There's a bit of remorse there, particularly knowing it's affected his relationship with his grandmother," the source said.
The source added that it's only a matter of time before Prince Harry repairs his relationship with his dad and brother, and the other members of the royal family. And there's also denying the fact that he misses everyone.
"This trip could be a chance to work on healing old wounds. Their last visit was rather rushed given it was in the middle of the queen's Platinum Jubilee, and Harry's asked if he can spend more time with the queen," the source said.
However, one should take the tabloid's claims with a grain of salt. Even though it's true that Prince Harry might be missing Princess Diana, it's not true that this is the reason why he went on a three-day tour without his wife and children.
It's not also true that Prince Harry completely cut ties with Prince Charles and Prince William. According to more reliable sources, the trio simply had a falling out but it's something that they can resolve when the time comes.
For now, it's unclear if Prince Harry is on speaking terms with Prince Charles and Prince William. But he never lost touch with the queen since he moved to the United States.
