Netflix has officially unveiled the first look at the much-awaited "Black Clover" movie titled "Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King." Aside from that, the streaming giant also reveals the film's official poster and release date.
According to reports, the upcoming "Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King" will feature an original story by the franchise's creator himself, Yuki Tabata. That said, fans are about to meet an all-new character who has never been seen in manga or anime.
Tabata is said to be behind the film's original work, supervision, and character design, and his greatness can be seen in the trailer. The clip features a compilation of events in the Heart Kingdom Joint Struggle arc.
It shows Asta's hardships in acquiring the strength he has successfully achieved over time. This seems to hint at the story's setting during the time before the Dark Triad begins its attack on the Clover and Heart Kingdoms.
"Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King" will tell a never-before-seen story about the former Wizard King. Though his name isn't revealed in the teaser, the franchise's official Twitter account posts his name as Konrad Leto, voiced by Toshihiko Seki, the voice actor behind "Demon Slayer's" Muzan Kibutsuji and "Naruto's" Iruka Umino.
The trailer hints that Leto is about to make a major change in the Clover Kingdom, though it remains to be seen what it will be and why he will do it. Despite that, the movie's leaks suggest the people of the realm love him.
In addition, Netflix drops the movie's official poster, featuring Asta as he looks ready to fight anyone who will come his way with his sword. The image also sees Yuno Grinberryall, Yami Sukehiro, and Wizard King Julius Novachrono.
Meanwhile, fans have been looking forward to seeing "Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King" after the anime's cancellation following the fourth season's release. However, viewers remain hopeful that they will see Asta again on the small screen after the movie drops.
But there are also theories that the anime film will be the last adaptation of the manga. Hence, many have high expectations for it. The movie was announced quite some time ago, but only a few details are known about it.
That said, many are dying to see what it has in store. Thankfully, Netflix finally revealed that it will be out on March 31, 2023, and will be streamed worldwide at the same time as its theatrical release. This means fans don't have to wait any longer or go to the theaters to see "Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King."
