BTS is now preparing for their enlistments, but before that happens, Jin will officially release his solo single later this month. BigHit Music both confirmed the start of the group's military service and the upcoming project of one of its members.

On Monday, October 17, BigHit announced that BTS would enlist amid the many talks about their possible exemption. After a day, October 18, it gave an update about Jin's new music.

A company rep said that the group's oldest member would release his solo single at the end of this month. Rumors have it that the song was gifted by the English band Coldplay to the idol, and he would be collaborating with the group.

In fact, Jin himself announced during BTS's World Expo 2030 Busan Korea concert on Saturday, October 15, that he "ended up singing something" due to his "fortunate connection with someone he was a fan of." That said, BigHit cleared that the exact details of the new music, from the precise release date, time, collaborator, and more, would be later revealed.

"We ask for your understanding," the company said. Jin's new music announcement came after BigHit confirmed that BTS would enlist in the military, starting with the former.

The company released a publicly disclosed statement to stock investors, announcing that Jin would "request to cancel the delay of his military enlistment" in late October to follow the Military Manpower Administration's enlistment process. From there, the other members will "follow their enlistments according to their individual plans."

BigHit then explained this decision in detail. It said the group is now moving forward with their plans to fulfill their military service following the Busan concert and embarking on solo projects.

It then enlisted the band's achievements for the country, saying they had risen to the international music scene, broken records, and brought K-pop to the global stratosphere. But the company had high respect for the nation's needs and the boys' duty to serve their compatriots.

After that, the company and BTS are now looking forward to their reunion in 2025 after the latter has successfully completed their service commitment. The recent release of their first anthology album, Proof, gave Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook the chance to explore their unique interests and do their individual projects before they finally fulfill their duties to their fellow South Koreans.
