Fans may continuously see BTS perform despite their upcoming mandatory military enlistment. The Ministry of National Defense recently announced that the group could still participate in public and national events while doing their national duties.

BigHit Music announced on Monday, October 17, that BTS was already preparing for their military enlistment. As this seemed to have left fans brokenhearted, they might still see them performing together on one stage.

Ministry of National Defense acting deputy spokesperson Moon Hong Sik revealed the global hitmakers could still perform, though with some limitations. He said they would allow them to "participate in national events for the public interest or any event that held for the national interest" if they wanted to.

He then cleared that this offer didn't only apply to Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook. In fact, he knew that some soldiers enlisted in the military also had the same opportunity if available.

National Defense Minister Lee Jong Seop earlier claimed that BTS could perform overseas while serving the military if it would be of "the national interest." That said, some wonder if this new system will officially be introduced for everyone.

Meanwhile, after months of talks about BTS's military exemption, BigHit announced the boys would be serving in the military in order. Jin will be the first to enlist, being the group's oldest member. He will turn 30 on December 4.

In a press release, the company said Jin would be canceling delaying his enlistment at the end of this month to follow the Military Manpower Administration's enlistment procedures. From there, the six other members will follow suit, according to their own plans.

The agency revealed that it had been working with the "Dynamite" hitmakers about their military service plans and when they thought the perfect time to announce it to their fans. So, after the 2030 World Export concert ended, they knew it was the right time.

BigHit added it's now looking forward to seeing them all together, reuniting as a full piece when they finally complete their service in 2025. It then asked for fans' understanding if it couldn't give an exact date yet on when they would return as a full group.

That said, it hinted that BTS would be on a further hiatus for the time being but promised Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook would continue their promotions and activities as solo artists following their military enlistment plans.
