After a long wait, fans will finally see a "Demon Slayer" Season 3 update. The anime's official Twitter page confirmed there would be new information about the much-awaited new season when the rerun of the movie "Demon Slayer: Mugen Train" drops on Saturday, December 10.

The tweet revealed that a "promotional reel 2023" would deliver new details about "Demon Slayer" Season 3, though it remains to be seen what it will be. Anyhow, fans expect it to be a new preview to give a glimpse of what they can expect in the new season.

"Anime 'Kimetsu no Yaiba' 'Promotion Reel 2023' to deliver new information," the translated tweet read. "It will be broadcast after 'Kimetsu no Yaiba' Mugen Train Special Broadcast. Please enjoy it."

The franchise is yet to reveal what this new update will be, but many expect it to be a major one after dropping its first official trailer in April. Aside from this new update, the anime also announced it would have a main stage at the upcoming Jump Festa 2023 on December 17-18.

Despite the lack of updates, fans know "Demon Slayer" Season 3 will feature the Swordsmith Village arc. Hence, Tanjiro will have a new katana this time after what happened to his weapon in the previous season.

Fans will also meet new special Hashiras, the Mist Hashira, Muichiro Tokito, and the Love Hashira, Mitsuri Kanroji. These two will work alongside Tanjiro and his friends after introducing the Flame Hashira, Kyojuro Rengoku, in the first season and the Sound Hashira, Tengen Uzui, in the second season.

For starters, the anime has already run for two seasons, with the movie "Mugen Train" releasing in between to link Seasons 1 and 2. The previous season adapted the Entertainment District arc to shift the story's setting to the Yoshiwara District of Edo, better known as Tokyo today.

It introduced the Sound Hashira and his three kunoichi wives. It was also the first time that Tanjiro awoke his Demon Slayer Mark during his intense battle against the Upper Moon siblings, Daki and Gyutaro.

Season 2 ended with Akaza, the Upper Rank Three demon who killed Rengoku in "Mugen Train," being summoned to Muzan's Infinity Place, as seen in the first season's 26th episode, where the Demon King killed all the Lower Moon demons.

With this intense turn of events, fans can't help but be excited about the upcoming "Demon Slayer" Season 3. However, there are no words on when the new season will be officially out.
