Park Bo Gum has parted ways with his agency, Blossom Entertainment. The actor's contract with the company has expired, and he has reportedly decided not to renew it.
Park Bo Gum will not sign with Blossom Entertainment again. So, what's next for the K-drama star?
AllKpop noted that the 29-year-old star and the firm have already agreed on what they will do with their contract.
The "Record of Youth" star started his career with SidusHQ in 2011. He then moved to Blossom, which managed his career for a long time.
After almost a decade, he would be leaving the company.
"It is true that [his] contract is coming to an end," Blossom CEO Joo Bang Ok confirmed in a statement. "We are thankful to Park Bo Gum, who has worked with us for a very long time. We will always support him."
So far, the "Encounter" star is still waiting for the release of his new movie, "Wonderland." Directed by Kim Tae Yong, the film will feature a simulated universe where people can be reunited with their loved ones whom they can't interact with in reality.
Park Bo Gum will lead the film along with Suzy. The two were reportedly in talks to play the role of a young couple who can't talk to each other in real life after the actor slips into a coma.
They will be joined by Jung Yu Mi and Choi Woo Shik, who are reportedly in talks to play the characters of the ones who control the events in the simulated universe called Wonderland.
In addition, Gong Yoo may also join the film, making it more star-studded. He will reportedly play the role of a man in his 40s and misses his late wife.
So, for the sake of his child in the movie, he will ask the ones who control Wonderland to create a simulation of his wife, who will probably be played by the Chinese actress Tang Wei.
A source from Gong Yoo's agency, Management SOOP, confirmed that the actor received a casting offer to join "Wonderland" and was reviewing it. There are no words yet on when the movie will be out.
Meanwhile, Park Bo Gum recently graced the cover of Harper's Bazaar's January edition. The "Reply 1988" star showed dramatic transformation, showing his funky side-far different from his clean and formal look-wearing CELINE outfits after becoming the brand's ambassador following his attendance at its 2023 Spring/Summer runway show in Paris.
