Studio BONES has dropped the official synopsis and preview images for "My Hero Academia" Season 6 Episode 17. Titled "The Wrong Way to Put Out a Fire," it will mostly focus on the Todoroki family and what really happened to Toya.
"My Hero Academia" Season 6 Episode 17 will continue where the previous episode left off. Rei Todoroki visits her husband, Enji Todoroki, a.k.a. Endeavor, at the hospital after sustaining major injuries to talk about their eldest son, Toya Todoroki, a.k.a. Dabi.
It has been known that Toya is dead after Endeavor failed to find him in the forest fire. Hence, the new episode will see how he has survived and ended up in his current situation.
Also, it will reveal who's to blame for what happened to him. Endeavor is the only one who's seen at fault for what happened to his child, but the upcoming installment will explain how he also doesn't have control over the events.
"My Hero Academia" Season 6 Episode 17 will feature the story of Toya's "hope and despair" story and how the Todoroki family falls apart. It will explore the Todorokis' deepest and darkest secrets and how things came to be.
In addition, the upcoming episode will reveal Toya's backstory and how Endeavor wished to have a child who could surpass himself and the No. 1 hero, All Might. It will also show why his parents treated Shoto Todoroki badly.

Meanwhile, the new episode preview images feature a young Toya, confirming a glimpse of his backstory. His red hair is becoming whiter as a kid.
He, too, can be seen covered in burns while being scolded by his father. The child is crying while looking at his father with the coldest stare he can give him.
A close shot of Endeavor is also revealed, making him look quite disturbed. He has dark circles under his eyes, showing he's already losing his grip and about to get worse.
The last "My Hero Academia" Season 6 Episode 17 image shows a baby Shoto, giving a blank expression while Rei is holding him close to her chest. Things are already falling apart for the Todoroki family, and it's just about to worsen.
Endeavor is now being forced to admit and apologize publicly and personally for his mistakes. Shoto, alternatively, carries the weight of having a broken family on his back.
Rei just gets out of the mental hospital, while Toya has become one of the world's most notorious villains. Fans are about to know more about the Todoroki family when "My Hero Academia" Season 6 Episode 17 drops on Saturday, January 28.
