Bill Gates is reportedly back in the dating game. More than a year after his divorce from Melinda Gates, he's now dating Paula Hurd, the widow of the late Oracle co-CEO Mark Hurd.
Gates and Hurd have been spotted out and about several times, and it's not a surprise at all. According to reports, the two have been dating for more than a year.
An alleged friend of the rumored couple told Daily Mail that "they're inseparable" after being together over a year. She has always been described as the business magnate's "mystery woman," though she has never been mysterious to their inner circle.
The pal added that they know that they're in a romantic relationship. Page Six reported that the pair ran the in the same circles.
They reportedly met before Hurd's husband died of cancer in October 2019 at 62 and shared a mutual love for tennis. They were even photographed sitting in the same box at a tennis match in 2015.
Gates and Hurd were again spotted watching a tennis match last month, attending the Men's Singles Final at the Australian Open in Melbourne, Australia. To add more fuel to the fire, they were also seen walking together around the city. But she wasn't identified yet at the time.
A source told People that their relationship is already "widely known," though she hasn't met his kids yet. Gates and his ex-wife have three children, Phoebe Adele, Jennifer Catherine, and Rory John Gates.
Alternatively, Hurd has two kids, Kathryn and Kelly Hurd, with her late husband. To know more about Gates' new girlfriend, it was revealed that she used to work in the tech industry.
She had a decades-long sales and alliance management career at the software company NCR (National Cash Register). Currently, she's a developer and organizer of a wide range of "memorable event experiences" or an event planner for personal, corporate, and charitable occasions.
In addition, Hurd is a known philanthropist. She and her late husband made big contributions to a lot of causes and even led many fundraising campaigns over the years. She, too, is a longtime donor to her spouse's alma mater, Baylor University, and helped its Give Light Campaign reach its $1 billion target with her $7 million donation in 2021.
As an honor for their kindness, the school will soon open a welcome center named after them. Aside from Hurd, Gates is also known for his philanthropic works.
