Meghan Markle will not be attending King Charles III's Coronation, opting instead to remain at her Montecito residence to celebrate Prince Archie's fourth birthday.

A Daily Telegraph article on Saturday suggested that Meghan's absence from the historic event was partly due to her dissatisfaction with King Charles' response to her concerns about unconscious bias within the Royal Family. The article claimed that the Duchess of Sussex wrote to the then Prince of Wales after her and Prince Harry's 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey.

The Duchess of Sussex's spokesperson responded to the article, telling HELLO!: "The Duchess of Sussex is going about her life in the present, not thinking about correspondence from two years ago related to conversations from four years ago. Any suggestion otherwise is false and frankly ridiculous. We encourage tabloid media and various royal correspondents to stop the exhausting circus that they alone are creating."

The letters exchanged between Meghan and Charles reportedly addressed the identity of the senior Royal Family member who inquired about Prince Archie's skin color. Both Meghan and Charles concurred that the comment was not made with malicious intent.

Meghan's 2021 Oprah interview featured several explosive revelations, including her claim that the then Duchess of Cambridge brought her to tears over her flower girls' dresses, although Kate later apologized.

During the interview, Meghan also revealed her struggle with suicidal thoughts, recalling how she told Harry, "I remember that he [Harry] just cradled me, and I went to the institution and I said I needed to go somewhere and get help, and I was told that I couldn't because it wouldn't be good for the institution."

Despite not attending the Coronation, Meghan is included in the event's official souvenir program. The 84-page magazine features a 2018 family photo commemorating the King's 70th birthday.

The prominent photo depicts Charles and Camilla seated together, with a laughing Prince George on his grandfather's lap and Princess Charlotte embracing the Queen Consort. Standing behind the King are a smiling Prince and Princess of Wales, with the latter holding baby Prince Louis. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, also laughing, stand next to William.

Tensions between Harry, Meghan, and the rest of the Royal Family remain high. Recent reports reveal that Queen Camilla felt "hurt" by Harry's critical remarks about her in his candid memoir, Spare.
