Chinese actress Fan Bingbing graced the red carpet at the 76th Cannes Film Festival.

On the evening of May 16 (local time), Fan attended the premiere of the opening film 'Jeanne d'Arc' at the Palais des Festivals Lumière Grand Theater in Cannes, southern France.

Fan Bingbing, a regular guest at the Cannes Film Festival, is making her return to the red carpet after five years, her last appearance being at the 71st festival in 2018. She had been surrounded by rumors of disappearance and death following tax evasion allegations. After a lengthy hiatus, she resumed her public activities last year, accompanied by her tax payments.

Fan Bingbing caught the eye in a striking off-shoulder dress adorned with bamboo and tiger illustrations. The cool off-shoulder dress emphasized her voluminous figure, and through the dress embroidered with tigers and bamboo, she revealed the beauty of the East. In addition, Fan Bingbing accentuated her look with a leaf decoration in her hair.

 

'Jeanne d'Arc' is a French film that tells the story of Madame du Barry, a mistress of Louis XV, directed by and starring actress Maïwenn. Maïwenn played the role of Madame du Barry, and Johnny Depp played the role of Louis XV. 'Jeanne d'Arc' has attracted much attention as Johnny Depp's return to the big screen after about three years following his legal battle with his ex-wife Amber Heard.

Meanwhile, the 76th Cannes Film Festival opened on the 16th and will be held until the 27th. A total of seven Korean films have been invited to various sections, including the non-competition and critic's week. Accordingly, Korean stars such as Song Kang-ho, Song Joong-ki, Lee Sun-kyun, Ju Ji-hoon, and Jung Yu-mi are scheduled to attend.
