After a dramatic upheaval in their attacking lineup this summer, Real Madrid has reportedly set their sights on securing England's skipper, Harry Kane from Tottenham Hotspur FC.

Over the past weekend, Real Madrid dropped shockers announcing the exits of Marco Asensio, Eden Hazard, Mariano Diaz, and most notably, Karim Benzema, the current holder of the Ballon d'Or, thereby ending his 14-year stint with the club.

The current coach, Carlo Ancelotti, is left with a significantly depleted attacking force, with only the promising yet inexperienced Alvaro Rodriguez, and Brazilian duo Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo Goes remaining.

With just a year left on his contract with Tottenham, Kane has risen to be the prime target. Despite last season's failed attempts to acquire Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland, the team remains undeterred.

Mbappe has chosen to stick with Paris Saint-Germain until at least 2024, while Haaland has taken up the Manchester City colors. Given the club's trajectory towards a treble win this season, it's unlikely he'll be eyeing a new home soon.

Despite Kane's undeniable talent and an impressive record of 280 goals in 435 appearances for Spurs, the 29-year-old has yet to bag a major trophy. This void could influence his decision to join the ranks of 14-time European Champions and 35-time La Liga victors, Real Madrid.

Tottenham Hotspur, currently sitting eighth in the Premier League, will be absent from the Champions League in the forthcoming season. The club is also undergoing a significant transition phase, as interim boss Ryan Mason is set to be replaced by Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou. Given the uncertainty shrouding the club's future and Kane nearing 30, it might be time for the striker to consider moving up a gear.

At the same time, Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is reluctant to release his top scorer, reportedly setting a hefty price tag of at least £100m on Kane. However, the departure of Benzema, Hazard, Asensio, and Diaz has cleared up at least 77m euros (£66m) in the budget of Los Blancos.

Ex-England defender Micah Richards suggests that letting go of Kane might be in Tottenham's best interest to rebuild the squad that has become too dependent on the striker. According to Richards, "Kane is having to do everything by himself at times." A move to Real Madrid, a club known for its continuous pursuit of multiple titles, could catapult Kane into the realm of football legends.

In addition to Kane, Real Madrid is reportedly eyeing players like Napoli's Victor Osimhen, Inter Milan's Lautaro Martinez, Chelsea's Kai Havertz, and Juventus' Dusan Vlahovic. A deal for England's Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund is also rumored to be underway.
