In a recent episode of her podcast, Sarah Ferguson, fondly known as Fergie, opened up about the profound sentimentality behind her latest grandson's name, which brought her to tears.

During a heartwarming discussion with her dear friend Sarah Thomson on the second episode of "Tea Talks with the Duchess & Sarah," themed "New arrivals, lost watches and the importance of showing up," Fergie expressed her joy about her daughter, Princess Eugenie's second son.

Already a proud grandmother to Eugenie's eldest son, August Philip Hawke Brooksbank, whom she shares with her husband Jack Brooksbank, and to Princess Beatrice's daughter, Sienna Mapelli Mozzi, Fergie couldn't contain her joy over the newest addition to the family.

"He is a very, very seriously beautiful little boy. Now, of course, everyone says that, but, of course, he is," the 63-year-old Duchess of York lovingly stated as Thomson wished her congratulations.

Fergie then shared her affectionate moniker as a grandmother, stating, "Doting Granny, doting GG. And beautiful grandparents. GG, I'm GG."

Eugenie, 33, along with Brooksbank, welcomed their second child on May 30, revealing his name as Ernest George Ronnie Brooksbank. In a touching Instagram post, Eugenie shared the name was chosen in remembrance of "his great great great Grandfather George, his Grandpa George," and her own grandfather, Ronald.

The Duchess of York elaborated on the significance of the name, stating, "He's called Ernest George Ronnie. He's Ernest because George III's middle name was Ernest and also because it's a fabulous name." Light-hearted humor followed as Fergie jokingly added, "It'll be good in Spain when we come to a villa. Ernesto."

Digging deeper into the name's significance, Fergie expressed how George was in honor of Brooksbank's father, while Ronald, or Ronnie, was chosen in memory of her father. Learning that Eugenie and Brooksbank had paid tribute to their passed-away family members through their son's name deeply touched her.

Ferguson's father, Ronald Ferguson, who passed away in 2003, was a polo manager for Prince Philip and King Charles III, while Brooksbank's father, George, died in November 2021.

"When Jack and Eugenie told me, it was so moving that they put my dad in there. It was very kind, I thought. Made me cry, of course," Fergie revealed.

Fergie warmly referred to Ernest's birth as "good news" and mentioned that Princess Eugenie gave her permission to discuss her son on their podcast, adding with a chuckle, "Oh, I have to be very careful. I get so proud, I can't just whiz out photographs willy-nilly. Granny rules, my goodness!"

The newborn, Ernest, now 13th in line to the British throne, is the first great-grandchild of Queen Elizabeth II born after her demise on Sept. 9, 2022.

The Duchess of York gleefully shared her joy on social media a day after Buckingham Palace and Princess Eugenie announced Ernest's birth publicly, writing, "Amazing.. the importance of Ernest. Thank you soooo much... clever Eugenie and Jack and August Brooksbank..."

Known for her humorous and loving persona, Ferguson has often referred to herself as "Super Gran Pan," remarking that her grandchildren find her "very funny" and follow her "around like Peter Pan."
