Tensions continue to escalate following the exhibition boxing bout between Floyd Mayweather and John Gotti III, which spiraled into a chaotic in-ring brawl and resulted in both fighters being disqualified.
The volatile aftermath took a dark turn when Nicolette Gotti, John Gotti III's sister, is reported to have issued threats against Mayweather's daughter. Jeff Nadu, a former personality at Barstool, posted a screenshot of a supposed Instagram Story from Nicolette's account containing the threat.
The shared post allegedly read: "@floydmayweather your daughter was ran through by [an] animal with 12 different baby mamas - your little circus animal - [you're] all a pack of zoo animals. I swear on my kids I'm coming for your daughter, it may be 2 years, 3 years from now but I'm coming c-t." Nicolette's Instagram account was set to private as of Monday.
The threatening post didn't mention Mayweather's daughters, Iyanna, known as "Yaya", and Jirah, by name.
Nicolette and John Gotti III hail from a family with a notorious past. Their grandfather, John Gotti, held the leadership of the Gambino crime family from 1986 to 1991. While Gotti Sr. was incarcerated, their father, Gotti Jr., took over as the acting boss.
Prior to the match, Mayweather's daughters teased the first public appearance of Yaya's two-year-old son, KJ, whose father is Yaya's alleged fiancé, rapper NBA YoungBoy, whose real name is Kentrell DeSean Gaulden. Yaya encouraged her Instagram followers to watch her father's fight if they wanted to catch a glimpse of KJ.
Mayweather was caught on camera holding his grandson at the FLA Live Arena in Sunrise, Florida before the altercation, in footage shared by Yaya's mother, Melissia Rene.
The match spiraled into disorder when Gotti challenged referee Kenny Bayless' decision to stop the fight with less than a minute remaining in the sixth round. He went on to bypass the referee and assaulted Mayweather, sparking a mass brawl as both fighters' teams stormed the ring.
Following the incident, Rene posted a video of Yaya dancing on her Instagram Story, captioned, "I don't play about mine."
In a separate incident, an alleged backstage scuffle erupted between rapper and reality TV stars Joseline Hernandez and Big Lex.
Mayweather, who retired from professional boxing following his 2017 victory over MMA legend Conor McGregor, was participating in his seventh exhibition match. Gotti, an MMA fighter with a record of 5-1, also holds a 2-0 professional boxing record.
