Manchester United is reportedly inching closer to landing Inter Milan goalkeeper, Andre Onana. Reports suggest the Cameroonian shot-stopper has embarked on house hunting in Manchester. A sign his imminent transfer to the English giants might be on the brink of completion.
The Red Devils made their intent clear, having submitted a second bid of $57 million (£43m). Expectations are high that a deal might be finalized as early as next week. It's a move that would provide a significant boost to United, which is on a mission to solidify its lineup under the guidance of Erik ten Hag.
Last season saw Onana sharing goalkeeping duties with Samir Handanovic at Inter Milan, proving his worth with 41 game appearances. The move to Old Trafford would not only be a step forward for Onana but a reunion with Ten Hag. The duo has enjoyed shared success at Ajax, winning three Eredivisie titles together.
The latest updates from Gazzetta dello Sport indicate that Onana is already scouting for accommodations near United's Carrington training facility. This development came hot on the heels of David de Gea's departure from Manchester United. De Gea left as a free agent after a deal fell through due to Ten Hag's concerns about his error-prone season.

Even though Manchester United hasn't fully closed the door on De Gea, it's highly unlikely that he will be back as a second choice to Onana.
If all goes as planned, Onana's acquisition will mark another high point in a productive summer for United. Despite a constricted budget, the Red Devils have managed to strengthen their midfield, having recently brought Chelsea's Mason Mount on board for $80 million (£60m). The English international has already started his training sessions at Carrington.
But United isn't stopping there. The team is also setting its sights on Danish forward Rasmus Hojlund, who found the net 10 times for Atalanta in the previous season. The 20-year-old talent tops Ten Hag's wishlist and is expected to be a budget-friendly alternative to seasoned strikers like Victor Osimhen and Harry Kane.
Rumors are also swirling around United's interest in a second midfield option. Reports out of Italy suggest that Fiorentina's Sofyan Amrabat could be that player, and the club is ready to negotiate.
All in all, it seems like Manchester United is gearing up for a promising season.
