The world of British royalty is no stranger to speculation and rumor, and the latest buzz surrounds Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex. Amid swirling rumors of a potential separation between her and Prince Harry, some royal commentators have begun to question Markle's ability to stand on her own.
Angela Levin, a seasoned journalist and royal biographer, recently shared her insights on the matter during an interview with Sky News Australia. Levin suggested that Markle is attempting to demonstrate her strength and independence, particularly in the wake of her recent solo appearances.
"Without him, she's nothing," Levin boldly stated, referring to Prince Harry. "I don't think they will split yet, but I think she wants to prove that she's really strong on her own."
Levin's comments come on the heels of Markle's recent solo outing to the Montecito Farmer's Market. The Duchess was seen without Prince Harry, accompanied only by her security detail and pet beagle. Levin questioned the purpose of this outing, suggesting that Markle might be trying to project an image of strength and independence.
"She likes to show that she's all alone. Now, it's not that she's lonely, [but] it's that she can manage [and] she's really a powerful woman," Levin explained.
However, Levin also pointed out the stark contrast between the couple's current dynamic and their earlier days. The biographer recalled Markle's previous statement about her relationship with Prince Harry, describing them as "salt and pepper" who did everything together. Levin expressed concern about the apparent lack of contact and support between the couple, especially given Prince Harry's recent struggles.
"Harry has become a terrible mess really, and she should have come over to be with him, to help him. It's extraordinary," Levin remarked.
Levin has previously suggested on Sky News Australia's "Paul Murray Live" podcast that the Sussexes' marriage might be nearing its end. She criticized Markle for her perceived absence during Prince Harry's difficult times.
Despite these claims, a recent report from Radar Online suggesting a "trial separation" between the Duke and Duchess of Sussex was refuted by an unnamed source who told Page Six that the claim was "not true" and was "literally made up."
As the rumor mill continues to churn, the world watches and waits for any official confirmation or denial from the Sussexes themselves. Until then, the speculation about Meghan Markle's independence and the state of her marriage to Prince Harry will likely persist.
