In a series of resurfaced text messages, Hunter Biden, son of President Joe Biden, confided in his uncle, James Biden, about his dire financial situation. These messages, believed to have been sent in December 2018, shed light on the financial struggles faced by the younger Biden, painting a picture far removed from the privileged life many might assume he leads.

Hunter's texts revealed a desperate plea for help. "I can work when I'm in NYC all day every day for the next 3 months," he allegedly wrote. "But I can't pay alimony w/o Dad or tuitions or for food and gas. Really it's all gone." He further expressed his frustration, stating that he could potentially earn the required amount in a span of 15 to 20 days. However, he also mentioned that his father, Joe Biden, had made it clear he wouldn't be assisting with alimony payments.

The messages also touched upon Hunter's personal life, particularly his deteriorating relationship with Hallie Biden, his former sister-in-law. He mentioned that Hallie was unwilling to lend him money or even allow him to stay at their shared residence. In the midst of this turmoil, Hunter considered moving into his father's Delaware home.

He wrote, "Hallie won't allow me to be at the house or lend me or pay me back any money. Ashley [Biden] moves into momoms [sic] house after I told dad that I would move in there. ... That night I tell dad I want to probably stay in the area and specifically I wanted to live by you and teach my course at Penn and maybe develop another one."

James Biden seemed supportive of the idea, suggesting that with some assistance from their father, the arrangement could work. "You need a safe harbor. I can work with your father alone!!" he responded. "We as usual just need several months of his help for this to work. Let's talk about it. It makes perfect sense to me."

This isn't the first instance where Hunter's financial woes have come to light. Previous leaks indicated that a significant portion of his income was directed towards his father. In a message to his daughter Naomi, Hunter reportedly stated, "I hope you all can do what I did and pay for everything for this entire family for 30 years. It's really hard. But don't worry, unlike pop, I won't make you give me half your salary."

The revelations come at a time when the Biden family is under intense scrutiny, with Republicans insisting on grounds to launch impeachment proceedings against President Biden.
