BLACKPINK member Lisa splendidly completed her first performance at "Crazy Horse" in Paris, France. On September 28th, Lisa made history by becoming the first K-pop artist to perform on the renowned French cabaret stage of 'Crazy Horse'.
During the performance, Lisa, wearing a beanie, captured attention alongside dancers donning wigs. However, unlike some performers, Lisa chose not to go topless, instead wearing a top throughout her stage act. Notably, fellow BLACKPINK members Rosé and Jisoo were present in the audience, showcasing their camaraderie and support for Lisa.
Lisa is scheduled to grace the 'Crazy Horse' stage for a total of five performances until September 30.
"Crazy Horse" is well-known as one of the top three cabaret shows in France, alongside "'Moulin Rouge" and "Lido". While it boasts tradition and prestige in France, it has also sparked controversy for its provocative exposure of female dancers and its risqué art nude shows. There have been criticisms suggesting the show promotes the sexual commodification of women. "Crazy Horse" had a performance in South Korea in 2015, which was rated as not suitable for teenagers.
Ahead of her debut performance at "Crazy Horse", Lisa expressed her excitement on social media, saying, "I can't believe this is happening. Can't wait! D-1, see you soon."
Meanwhile, Lisa has been in the spotlight for various reasons, including her recent contract renewal issues with her agency, YG Entertainment. Speculations about her not renewing her contract intensified when it was revealed that no YG staff accompanied her during her departure to Paris on the 24th.
