From PSY's Agency to Jay Park's: Jessi Discusses Difficulties and Avoiding Risque Outfits Betrayed & Exhausted: K-pop Star Jessi Gets Candid About Her Recent Struggles
Singer Jessi has revealed her emotional struggles after canceling her music show appearances and changing agencies.
On the SBS PowerFM show 'Choi Hwa-Jung's Power Time' aired on the 31st, Jessi, who made a comeback with her new song "Gum," was a guest.
A listener mentioned Jessi's recent cancellation of music shows due to health reasons. Jessi was scheduled to appear on KBS2's 'Music Bank' on the 27th, but she canceled all of her music show schedules due to poor condition.
After leaving PSY's P Nation in April and moving to Jay Park's AOMG, Jessi shared, "I left my previous agency and worked solo. I learned a lot, and I felt betrayed by many people. Although I was lonely, I thought I had to continue working. As I pushed through, I think I unknowingly wore myself out."
She continued, "I was stressed, people left me, and I felt betrayed. It was really tough dealing with the emotional wounds. Now, I feel like my body is showing the signs of that stress. I'm so stressed that I can't even sleep when I go home."
Jessi added, "I used to think I could fight through anything, but this summer, during an event, I felt like I might collapse. I don't manage stress well. When I'm stressed, I need to take a break."
Furthermore, she commented, "Even when it's tough, people always say Jessi is honest, so I found it hard to openly talk about my pain. I only wanted to show a happy side, so I deliberately went on broadcasts and acted lively," expressing her regret.
Jessi also discussed her recent preference to avoid revealing outfits. She joked, "I'm getting older now, so I feel cold. I used to wear leggings and tops in the past, but now it's just too cold."
Choi Hwa-Jung complimented, "It's been a while since I've seen Jessi, and she looks really beautiful." Jessi responded with, "It seems like you're aging in reverse." Choi Hwa-Jung playfully said, "I heard Jessi was coming, so I covered up more."
