On November 4, according to the South Korean album sales tally site Hanteo Chart, BTS's Jungkook's solo album "GOLDEN" sold 2,147,389 copies on its release day (Nov. 3). The album rapidly became a 'million-seller' by selling 1 million copies within just 3 hours of its release and then broke through the 2 million sales mark within 5 hours, immediately becoming a 'double million-seller' and effortlessly topped Hanteo Chart's 'Daily Album Chart' for November 3.

In particular, "GOLDEN" set a new all-time record for the highest first-day sales for a K-pop solo artist's album, unprecedentedly selling over 2 million copies. Additionally, with the first day's sales alone, it has surpassed the existing record for the initial week of sales (Chodong) for a K-pop solo artist (2,101,974 copies).

"GOLDEN" has engaged in global popularity by hitting the number one spot on the iTunes "Top Albums" charts in 77 countries/regions including the UK, Germany, France, Canada, and Japan by 9 AM on November 4. Moreover, immediately after release, all 10 tracks from "GOLDEN" including the title track "Standing Next to You" climbed onto the Melon Realtime Chart "TOP100" at 2 PM on November 3.

Meanwhile, Jungkook will engage in various domestic and international activities, including an appearance on the US NBC's "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" on November 7, the "CitiConcert Series" on NBC's "TODAY" show on November 8, Mnet's "M Countdown" on the 16th, and he will host the fan showcase 'Jung Kook "GOLDEN" Live On Stage' on the 20th.
