BTS's Jungkook has taken the Spotify charts by storm.

On November 4 (KST), as revealed by Spotify, the world's largest streaming service, the title track 'Standing Next to You' from Jungkook's solo album 'GOLDEN' garnered 6,472,019 streams, placing it second on the latest 'Daily Top Songs Global' chart for November 3rd.

While the solo single 'Seven (feat. Latto)' reclaimed the first spot, '3D (feat. Jack Harlow)' bounced back to the seventh position. In addition, other new songs from the album, such as 'Hate You' (16th), 'Yes or No' (18th), 'Please Don't Change (feat. DJ Snake)' (23rd), 'Closer to You (feat. Major Lazer)' (24th), 'Somebody' (27th), 'Shot Glass of Tears' (28th), 'Too Sad to Dance' (29th), all simultaneously entered the 'Daily Top Songs Global' chart.

Especially noteworthy is that on the release day, November 3rd, the tracks from 'GOLDEN' were played a total of 39,653,740 times, setting a new record for the most streams on a chart entry day for a K-pop solo artist's album. The record for the most streamed K-pop group album on its chart entry day is held by BTS's anthology album 'Proof' released last year, which amassed over 47,565,917 streams, proving Jungkook's incredible global presence as both a team member and a solo artist.

'GOLDEN' also hit number one on Japan's Oricon 'Daily Album Ranking' with a sales figure of 205,961 copies. Moreover, the 'Daily Digital Single Ranking' saw 'Standing Next to You' take the top spot, with eight new songs from the album evenly spread across the 'Top 15', adding momentum to Jungkook's 'golden sprint'.

Meanwhile, 'GOLDEN,' released at 1 PM on the 3rd, broke through the 2 million sales mark within just 5 hours according to the domestic album sales tally site Hanteo Chart, speeding straight to 'double million-seller' status and setting a new record for the highest initial week of sales (Chodong) by a K-pop solo artist based solely on the first day's sales.
